In 1860, the Lutherian parish of the commune of Vaugirard and of Grenelle acquired the current land, which was then ceded to the city of Paris in exchange for the construction of schools and a church. Eugene Godebeeuf was in charge of the building of the church. The architect built the church in the centre of the building, with its tribunes on the first floor and its large folding doors on the ground floor, to communicate with the two adjacent schools: one for girls and one for boys. Thanks to these folding doors, it is possible to double the capacity of the church. On January 7, 1866, the church was inaugurated.
C1The instrument was built in 1866 by Aristide Cavaillé-Coll. In 1982, maintenance works were carried out by the Sebire and Glandaz who were very respectful of the work and harmony of Cavaillé-Coll. In 1995, maintenance works were done by Yves Fossaert. The instrument is exceptional for its state of preservation.
