Eglise Protestante Unie Port-Royal-Quartier Latin - Temple de Port-Royal 18, boulevard Arago, 75013 Paris
The Reformed parish of Port-Royal was founded in 1898 by Pastor Franz Jacot, who had the church built a few years later. Designed by the architects Félix Paumier and A. A. Rey, it is modest in size and combines elements of Art Nouveau with Neo- Byzantine style. The interior is decorated with 22 mosaics depicting scenes from the life of Christ and the Parables. The nave is lit by a beautiful Art Nouveau–style skylight.
D1 This organ replaced the 1882 Banfield organ, of English origin, which had been loaned to the parish. The current organ, acquired by the parish in 2002 and reassembled by Yves Fossaert, was built by organ builder Michel Alcouffe in 1977 for a private individual in the Paris region. It is an instrument with 15 real stops on two 56-note keyboards and 30-note pedalboard. The temperament, slightly uneven, is fixed on the basis of "Kellner". The 8' LA2 is tuned on the basis of 440 Hz at 18 °C. The pedal stops (16' Soubasse and 8' Bass) were refurbished in 2005 to give them more presence. Overhauls in 2002 and 2005 by Fossaert and Swidersky. Source
